Kade had a good night. He keeps getting Ativan because he was looking pretty uncomfortable. They have decided that his blood gas looked good enough that they could try and pull the vent. They are pulling it now and we are hoping he is able to breathe on his own. We have been in the waiting room for about an hour now.
The surgeon came thru and talked to us again and said that they were able to pull the drain tube. So we are at least minus one tube. We saw Dr. Lindsay today (one of our regular neonatologists) and she just couldn't believe where Kade is now. She hasn't been on since before Sunday's events. She, like everyone else, said that he was days away from being out of here and so sorry this has happened... so are we... :(
We went to Piccadilly for our Thanksgiving meal with my mom and dad and Jami and the girls. That meal was terrible...Lol but at least we can say we had turkey... we are going to moms to tonight with Keegan's family and cook breakfast for supper. I am thinking that will easily be better than lunch.
