I just called and he and a good night. His nurse promised not to weigh him until At least Sunday when I talked to her last night. When she weighed him Thursday night she said it was so painful for him to move and they weren't doing it again. She even gave him a fresh dose of morphine before moving him. the doctors needed an updated weighht though which is why she did it. He weighed 9.6.
Pain meds are spaced out to 4 hrs now, bc they are trying to get his GI tract on the move. By tomorrow both the suctions will be gone. They removed the one in his nose wednesday but will remove the other tomorrow more than likely. Incision looks good, holding temp pretty good, but still hasn't graduated back to his crib. He's in the warming bed still just in case.
So right now, he is doing what we want. They are waiting a couple more days to start attempting feeds and that is where the real test will be. Praying for his belly to do everything it is supposed to so he can get off tpn and just on his feeds, even if we do have to go home with pumps, etc... Oh well... Just tolerating formula and no TPN is all we can ask for right now!
