General quick update...We are up to 10.6 (crossing fingers)

There really hasn't been any changes this week. Kade is doing ok.  We are still waiting on results of some of the tests from Monday, but they take a while to come back.  He is up to full feeds and taking his cereal/bananas by spoon.  He hates every minute of the cereal/bananas.  He loves the taste, but it is truly WORK feeding him this stuff by mouth.  Whew!!


I just put this update on facebook...I know some of you are waiting on a long update. I will try tomorrow!

• off TPN, on full feeds (30ml/hr, so 3 oz every 3 hours), eating bananas and cereal by spoon (and screaming his head off all the way thru), and he gets a bottle as well when he eats and is doing much better. His liver levels went down this week some, which was fantastic! He is also going to start getting more OT/PT because he is still so floppy (that's what happens when you are too sick to move your body too much, so they are going to try and strengthen his head & neck muscles). He weighed 10.6 tonight when we bathed and weighed him. He is almost 5 mths old, so that puts into perspective how tiny he is. He was born 6.1 :/ He just looks big in this pic bc the outfit is pretty big on him. Goal is to gain weight consistently and stay off TPN and not get any more adhesions!!

• He has been super fussy lately....ears, teeth, belly, spoiled????not sure at this point....he just cries....A LOT! Still trying to get to the root of the problem. He was soo sooo good until about 2 weeks ago.
