Sickness in the Marino Household...

WHEW! What a day it has been....Kenli got a fever virus from school on Monday and I thought it was over and then about an hour ago she woke up throwing up and has 102.4 fever. :(( My poor baby! She looks so pitiful!! She can't be around Kade (who sleeps in his crib in my room) and her bed is wet from Josh cleaning the mattress, so she has her princess bed on the floor in the living room.  Poor thing!! Looks like I'll be sleeping on the sofa tonight... Also, she came home from school yesterday with a really hurt hand. I thought it was just her being whiny when she kept saying something about it because I knew she had a temp when she got off the bus, but she woke up at 2am crying about it even more. Today she stayed home from schoool because of her virus and she complained all day. I know it can't be broken because she can move it, but it is certainly bruised...my poor baby girl!! She is having a rough week. On top of all of this, we are trying everything in our power to keep Kenli quarantined to her room and Kade to mine.  With his central line in, we can NOT risk any infection!! ugggghhh!! Makes me a NERVOUS WRECK!!!

Tomorrow is Josh's birthday. My mom was so sweet and offered to keep Kade so we could go grab some lunch in BR tomorrow, but looks like we'll be seeing Dr. Wood with Kenli for Josh's birthday. Sad, but with everything going on, I almost totally forgot his birthday. My mind is going 1,000 different places at all times.

We went and saw Dr. Alberty Monday and Kade gained 4oz in 5 days which is great!! He is still having several diapers a day that are pretty much water, so he has decided to do a scope on him next week.  He is doing a scope down his throat to look for any inflamation (common with short gut kids) and doing a minor colonoscopy (he says only going a short ways in...poor KADE!!) This should help him treat Kade better. As always there is risk involved... I am so nervous about him perforating his intestines or something....ugh! My baby has such bad luck to start with.  This is an outpatient procedure but it just scares me. Of course he has done thousands he said, but it still scares me.

So, other than that, we have had a typical week....Kade screamed the whole way to and from BR for his appointment. He has arm-itis (yes, Mark....you were right). He loves being held and will rip your heart out when he smiles so big at you...he is soooo sweeet!!!  The sweetest baby ever! He loves to nuzzle in your neck!  He has also been crying a lot with his belly I think.  If he goes longer than an hour or so without pooping, he is crying A LOT.  Hopefully by scoping him next week we will get some answers.

I am so excited to show you these two videos!! They are sooo cute! I came in the living room yesterday and he was jabbering up a storm to one of his toys. It was ADORABLE!!

He turned 7 months old yesterday!!! YAY!!! GO MY LITTLE MIRACLE BABY!!!

HE loves that Santa Toy. The elves move from side to side and he holds on to them as the jump back and forth. He will watch is for 20 mins!

Have a great night everyone!! Thanks for the continued prayers!!

XOXO
