I love my babies so much! I don't know what I would do without them. Kade and I are staying up late to celebrate no TPN!! :))))))

Gretchen: I'm married to a wonderful guy since 2004. We have two beautiful children, Kenli and Kade. Kade was born with cleft lip, cleft palate, duodenal atresia, and Down Syndrome. Kade was doing wonderful until he had to have emergency surgery on 11/21 due to a kink in his small intestines that cut off the blood supply to his bowel and caused most of it to die. He lost 74cm and kept 47cm and now has what it called Short Gut Syndrome. He will be in the NICU for several months to repair the damage that has been done. He was perfectly fine one minute and 5 hours later he got very sick. This blog is going to not only follow our lives but kyeep up with Kade's multiple surgeries progress as well as his wonderful milestones. It will also show Kenli's busy days as a witty, smart, loving, 4 year old. Hope you enjoy.
