Prayers have been ANSWERED!!!

Needless to say we have been busy since I last updated this blog. Thanks everyone for all the thoughts, prayers and concern for our family. Kade Michael made 6 months old Saturday, April 21, and 6 months from his birth, Josh, Kenli and I brought him HOME.  Yes, we are now a family of 4 in our home and it is such a wonderful feeling. No words can describe the excitement and anxiety we felt when leaving the Woman’s Hospital.  Not only was Kade given exceptional care there, he was also given so much love and affection. Bittersweet – to say the least.  He had numerous primary nurses who will be deeply missed not only by Kade, but by us as well.  A few described Kade as their “social butterfly” - I guess because he was such a happy baby who was so easy to see a smile on his face, not only for his nurses but the cleaning staff, desk receptionists, etc.   We told a few family members the day before he was released, however, we gave strict instructions to keep it a secret in front of grandparents, BB, Poppa, MiMi and PaPa.  When BB walked up to the car and saw Kade in the carseat, she just burst out crying. And when MiMi walked up to the car, she was talking to Kenli and looked past Kade in his seat. When she realized he was in the seat, she also cried but was just so shocked and weak. What an exciting moment for all. He saw a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins over the weekend.   Honestly, it has not been a picnic since we arrived on Bellemoor Drive. He was sent home with the broviac in his chest and the continuous feeding tube in his stomach. He has 4 doctor appts. In the next week. With the type of diapers he has, it will be so much easier when we are at home, but we will be mobile a good bit too. Thank God he is a very happy baby.   Kenli has had so much fun since her baby brother came home. She was really beginning to get impatient about him not being with us. There is the cutest video of the kids, but I can't link to it from my ipad. I will link to it later when I am on my computer.
